Kassarie & Kayliray

Hey loves! I am excited to share the Cleo Madison online shop with you all today! Your new online “destination for cute modest clothing” they have a ton of the cutest dresses, tops, even swimming suits that you guys will love! I was contacted by their company to choose an item for review and I chose this fun ‘Susie Floral Pocket Dress‘ to take for a test run.

First this dress. Isn’t she a pretty color!!! And with a floral pattern that seems to be so trendy right now.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that it has pockets!!! What mama on the go doesn’t love a good pocket for your cell phone, an extra fruit snack, etc.

It has a great modest shape to it, a higher neckline, sleeves and a shin length skirt. Plus the material it’s made out of is SUPER soft and comfortable! It’s a dress you could very comfortably wear all day long.

I give her two thumbs up!!!

The Cleo Madison site… You guys. They have some of the cutest stuff. It took me forever to narrow down what I wanted to choose to review. I’d love to get this shirt, this swimming suit for next summer, and this floral maxi for fall… Just for starters. ;)

Once you’ve had a second to check out the Cleo Madison site, I’d love to know what you would choose!!!

Picture this… You’ve just opened your eyes from what was (hopefully) a restful night’s sleep. What’s one of the things that pulls you from your cozy bed to start the day? Me… It’s that morning cup of coffee. At this point in my life most of my nights are not so restful. Shout out to all those meaning well when they say, “Kassi, you look like you’re tired.” Um, I am. Thanks for pointing that out. ;) My son is not a restful sleeper. Even on his best nights. And on those good nights I usually stay up crazy late because photo editing is best done without two kiddos underfoot. So when my eyes open in the morning that coffee is calling to me. Meet one of my dearest friends… my Keurig Brewer. ;)

You’ve been introduced during this Keurig Brewer Review before if you’ve been around this blog for any length of time. But what you haven’t met yet is my Keurig’s best bud… The DripJoy K-Cup Compatible Single Serve Coffee

I was sent two boxes of DripJoy to try in exchange for my honest opinion and review shared here with you dolls. I chose the Morning Joy and Dark Bean Daydream flavors because come on, who doesn’t want a little more joy in their morning and the Dark Bean Daydream touts “hints of chocolate”. Um, sold.

First of all, this coffee does not disappoint. I tend to add a flavored creamer of some kind to my coffee (Right now I’m loving White Chocolate Raspberry, what’s your current favorite?), but both flavors could totally stand on their own. I am not a coffee connoisseur. I love the warm cup in my hands in the morning, the routine more so than anything. But I also want it to taste good. And DripJoy does. #flavorwin

DripJoy Coffee is used exactly like the Keurig K-Cups that you’re already using. They’re the same size, work the same way, all that. BUT DripJoy has a subscription service so that you won’t ever run out of coffee. Bless the genius that came up with THAT idea! I have one of those fun little pod holders that sets underneath my Keurig Brewer. They are the best! But I am also the worst at remembering to purchase new pods once that thing runs out. I have to refill it from the boxes in the pantry and what’s left in the boxes is not something I’m good at keeping track of… Having new coffee sent right to me BEFORE I run out?! #anotherwin

Say you aren’t into the whole subscription thing? You can still purchase individual boxes of coffee without the commitment. So really, there’s no downside no matter what option you chose. Great coffee that you didn’t have to go to the store for, or remember to restock at all if you choose. #everyoneiswinning

Tell me, what gets you going in the morning?

I won’t lie… I’m kind of a makeup loser. ;) IF I get any makeup on at all during the day it’s always a little concealer to hide the mommy under eye darkness, some foundation and a little mascara. That’s it. So when I received the Maybelline Brow Drama® VoxBox from Influenster I was excited to try something new!

Maybelline Brow Drama Review

I received both the Dark Brown and Soft Brown colors. They are SUPER easy to use, just draw the color onto your brows either to fill in trouble spots or to add more definition. I was able to use either color as both blended well with my brows depending on how much drama I felt like having. The below photo shows the Dark Brown on bottom and the Soft Brown on the top.

Maybelline Brow Drama

If you’re interested, I did a little vlog about them that you can watch here, Maybelline Brow Drama Vlog.

Have you tried the Brow Drama crayons? What’s your shade?
Are you a less is more makeup girl like me? Or are you a makeup maven?

Disclosure: I received this VoxBox via Maybelline and Influenster, but all opinions shared here are my own.

Well friends, we’ve decided the Avalon Bay AirFryer is one of the coolest kitchen gadgets both Kayli and I have ever seen! Seriously. It’s like a cute little oven for your counter top. Hello coolest graduation gift for a kid heading to live in a dorm room. OK, gushing over, for a second anyway.

Avalon Bay Air Fryer Review (6)

So, what is an “airfryer”? According to their website, “AirFryers work the same way as convection ovens, but better. The fan technology removes the fats & oils from the food, by allowing it to drip through the drip basket. It then AirFrys the food by lifting the oil and making your food airborne by coating it. It does this continuously throughout the cooking process.” In short, you leave out the oil but still get all your favorite foods!

Here’s a short video review from Kayli explaining how the airfryer works and a little bit about the recipe we’re going to share with you.

Strawberry Cream Crescent Rolls in the Avalon Bay AirFryer

Ingredients needed:

Avalon Bay Air Fryer Review (1)

Step 1: Lay out the crescent roll dough and spread a thin layer of the preserves across the top.

Avalon Bay Air Fryer Review (3)

Step 2: Top the preserves with small slices of cream cheese. {I know the photo shows one big chunk, but we discovered it works better if you spread it out a bit.}

Step 3: Roll up the crescents.

Avalon Bay Air Fryer Review (4)

Step 4: Bake in the Avalon Bay AirFryer at 250 degrees for 25-30 minutes. We lined the basket in the fryer with foil since I didn’t have a baking pan that would fit inside. But the foil worked just fine.

Avalon Bay Air Fryer Review (5)

Step 5: Enjoy!!

Avalon Bay Air Fryer Review (7)

Overall thoughts on the Avalon Bay Airfryer: Impressed. Really, there are so many yummy dishes you can make with the airfryer! Everything from frozen foods to desserts like the crescent rolls we made. And all with less calories thanks to the whole no oil required thing. ;) I seriously think this would make a great gift for your high school graduate headed to their dorm room this fall. It’s like a little counter top oven! You can make dinner and dessert all in this one pretty red gadget!

Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? In case you haven’t heard of it, they’re a company that sets you up with your own personal stylist based on a questionnaire you fill out about your style preferences and then any Pinterest boards you share with the styles you like. Check out my style pin board here, if you’d like an example. ;) I decided to try it out because I STINK at shopping for myself. I always lean towards quantity and low cost over quality so I end up with meh pieces that never last me very long. I am hoping to be able to slowly build my closet into something I am excited to look through in the morning.

So this is my second round with Stitch Fix, you can see my first Stitch Fix review here. This time around, my stylist, Haley, sent me some really fun pieces! Here’s what I kept, what went back and why.

Stitch Fix Review

{Clockwise from top right.}

Henry Birds on Branch Infinity Scarf {RETURNED} – Such a pretty scarf. The bird print was pretty and fun for summer, but I am the worst about wearing scarves. I live in AZ. It’s hot. I hardly wear scarves in the winter, so I couldn’t justify a pretty scarf I know I’ll never wear.

Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan {RETURNED} –  LOVED the color of this cardigan and it was soft and comfortable but I have several cardigans that I rarely wear. Back to the hot in AZ thing… It’s just not that practical for summer.

Rosemont Crochet Trim Top {RETURNED} – Another pretty top, but the shoulders were just too tight. Even with unbuttoning all of the buttons on the neck I had trouble pulling it up over my head.

Esten Button-Up Sleeveless Blouse {RETURNED} – I loved this blue blouse and how it looked with the grey cutoff pants. But it’s Dry Clean Only. There’s not a dry cleaners within three hours drive of where I live. I know… rural living. Boo! I added a note to my stylist that dry clean only can’t be a thing for me unless it’s a really awesome piece I’d wear for special occasions or something.

Brayden Cargo Skinny Pant {KEPT} – I was scared of these skinny pants, because I NEVER wear skinny anything. But once I got them on I LOVED them! I liked them cuffed a little bit to look like capris more than pants, but still so cute!

OVERALL Review of Stitch Fix #2 – So this round was a 1 for 5, but still, I think that things are going in the right direction. Everything I was sent was super cute, just not the right fit, or not something I could justify. So take a second and check out Stitch Fix, cause if you join I get credit to buy more cute goodies! ;)

I still can’t believe my baby girl is already two years old!!! We celebrated with a fun Strawberry Shortcake party, her favorite TV show. To see more in the Klara Turns Two series, check out her Strawberry Shortcake birthday outfit here. Today’s post is all about the decor!

Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party

Toddler Birthday Party Tip: Party City and Etsy will be your best friends! I love Party City for things like character decorations, balloons, napkins, plates, cutlery, cups, table cloths. Things that you can’t get on Etsy, my other favorite shopping spot for birthday decor.

Toddler Strawberry Shortcake Birthday

FYI, Safeway will fill up balloons that you bring in, like the Strawberry Shortcake balloon I ordered from Party City. I got the pink and green balloons at Safeway while I was there.

Etsy is the place for fun centerpieces, favors, paper straws, confetti, and more!

Strawberry Shortcake Party Centerpiece

I just adored the Strawberry Shortcake Centerpiece Sticks we received from Khloe’s Kustom Kreation on Etsy! Hilda was amazing to work with, personalized the set with a 2 for Klara’s age and even sent that fun strawberry confetti!!! I used the confetti on the main table and as decoration with her favors table. So, so fun! For real, check out Hilda’s shop, she has the cutest centerpieces, confetti and die cuts for just about any party theme you could think of!!! {More on the favor bags in a later post. ;)}

Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party Favors

The red, pink and green Strawberry Shortcake themed candies came from our friends, DKDelektables on Etsy. They would’ve made super cute cupcake or cake decorations, but since we did a different dessert, more on that later, I used them as part of our cute centerpiece. Deann and Kathy also sent us some adorable Strawberry Shortcake themed paper straws. Again, check them out, for straws in any color combo you could imagine!!!

Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party Decorations

My little love bug had a great time at her birthday aprty featuring her favorite, Strawberry Shortcake. And really that’s all that matters. But I loved that I was able to find some really fun, cute decor at affordable prices!!

Thanks to everyone that made Klara’s Strawberry Shortcake decorations such a success! Hope you’ll come back soon to see more on her Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday party!

Where’s your favorite place to shop for party decor??

Disclosure: I received a discounted rate or items for free in exchange for my honest opinion. But always the thoughts shared here are 100% my own!

I was SO, SO excited to get my first Stitch Fix in the mail this last weekend. Made my whole weekend more fun trying on the clothes and showing my family and friends what I had received. So here is a break down of what I received, what I kept and what is going back. If you’d like to join me in trying out Stitch Fix, here is my referral link! ;)

Please pardon the bad cell phone shots, we took these in a hurry one afternoon. Next time I’ll try to do better. ;)

Stitch Fix #1
Top left:
Messi Lattice Neckline Top {RETURNED} – I LOVED this shirt. I loved the style, the fit. It was the perfect compliment to the coral shorts. BUT I found a teeny, tiny tear in the fabric on the one side and for this price I wasn’t going to buy a damaged item. So I sent it back. Seriously so disappointed and I hope that my stylist sends me a replacement or something similar in my next fix. I did contact Customer Support and they offered me a discount if it could be repaired because they didn’t have any others on hand, but I’m afraid it wasn’t repairable. :(

Karla Textured Shorts {KEPT} – Another LOVE! These shorts fit perfectly, they are a bright pop of fun color for summer and the textured front makes them even more eye catching! Keeping them in hopes my stylist will send another awesome shirt to wear with them or that I’ll find a good one in the meantime somewhere.

Top right:
Reyna Printed Maxi Dress {KEPT} – The print of this dress was so pretty and the fabric soft. Seriously SO comfortable! Honestly, I was unsure about keeping this one but my sister, Kayli and friend, Claire, talked me into it. It’s cute paired with a cardigan for special functions or cute by itself for a summer dinner out.

Bottom left:
Lilla Crochet Detail Top {RETURNED} – I really like the print and the fabric of this shirt, the crochet detail made it even more pretty. But I just didn’t like the shape. With the spaghetti straps I felt like I needed to wear something under or over it to be put together. Back it went.

Bottom right:
Daisy Distressed Denim Overall {RETURNED} – So I am not afraid to admit that I have always been a country girl… haha! But overall shorts are not something I feel like I can pull off. I tried them on, of course, but the shorts themselves didn’t fit well and my husband would have disowned me if I were to wear them in public. But cute distressed denim shorts are hopefully in my future!

OVERALL Review of Stitch Fix #1 – Really, I feel like my stylist, Jamie, did a great job for my first fix. She’s still getting to know me and my style, but she has already made a great effort to help me out of my t-shirt rut! So thanks Jamie! Can’t wait to see my next Fix! And friends, for you real, you should check out Stitch Fix, cause if you do I get credit. Just saying. ;)

So if you’ve been hanging around our old blog for any period of time or even here at the new place you might’ve noticed my life has been a little crazy as of late. The one thing I haven’t had to worry about? Replacing razorblades! ShaveMOB is the best, you guys! I was given the opportunity awhile back to test out and review their razors and I can honestly say I am incredibly pleased with them!

I was sent a razor handle, a set of the Perfectionist blades and a set of the Purist blades. Both sets were better than any razor blade I’ve ever tried before. And they last SO much longer. I feel like with other brands I was replacing blades at least once a week where the ShaveMOB blades last at least two-three weeks for a single blade before getting dull!

They have different razors for men and women, three different blades to choose from in each group all at different price points. Oh and did I mention how affordable they are!? I paid about $18 for a box of my old razor blades at least once a month. With ShaveMOB it’s that cost for a SIX MONTH supply of the Purist blades!!! Who doesn’t love savings?! And for a little more savings, use the code INTHEMOB, for $1 off your purchase!

Seriously, if you haven’t tried them you should. I’m off to order another six month supply and not worry about buying razorblades for a long time, cause really what momma has time for another thing to worry about!? ;)

Disclosure: I was offered a set of ShaveMOB razorblades and a razor handle in exchange for my honest opinion. As always though, my opinion is 100% honest and 100% my own!

Do you own a Keurig Brewer?? If not, get yourself to the store, buy yourself a treat and join me in saying #HelloKeurig!!!! At the very least ask for one for Mother’s Day because you are going to love it too! The new Keurig 2.0 K200 series brewer is my new favorite appliance for a few reasons…

1. It fits in perfectly on my kitchen counter. It’s less bulky and much more stylish then other brewers I’ve seen.

#HelloKeurig Review (1)

2. The black and white display screen is easy to use. It allows you to brew the cup size of your choice, from 4oz up to 10oz. You can also brew an entire pot of coffee with this brewer if you want to. I love that you’re not limited to just one cup at a time if you have guests over for breakfast!

#HelloKeurig Review (4)

3. You can make hot AND cold drinks with this hot brewer! Just BREW OVER ICE! Genius!!! I love a glass of iced tea throughout the day. FYI, the Lipton Unsweetened Iced Tea K Cups are amazing! A perfect glass of iced tea at your fingertips!

#HelloKeurig Review (7)

The one and only downside I can see with the new Keurig 2.0 brewer… You can only use Keurig branded K Cups. There is a Peppermint Tea that I loved and couldn’t use until they changed the labeling on the K Cup. But they DID change it so it looks like most manufacturers are changing their packaging to include the K Cup logo. If it doesn’t have that logo on the cup itself it WILL NOT work in the 2.0 brewer. Just make sure when you purchase your cups they have “For Use in ALL Keurig Brewers” on the box. {Notice the Keurig logo on the K Cup below…}

#HelloKeurig Review (6)

Tell me, what is your favorite K Cup that I need to try?? I love the Lipton Iced Tea as mentioned above and the Hazelnut Decaf Coffee… Yum yum!!!

Disclosure: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
